The Jewish Bereavement Project, at www.jewishbereavement.com,
is a program of the Kalsman Institute on Judaism and Health of the
Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Michele Prince,
MSW, MAJCS, is the founder of the project. She is currently the acting
director of the Kalsman Institute and is an oncology social worker
at the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. These bereavement
resources and services were originally prepared by Michele alongside
Amy Berkowitz as graduate students in the Irwin Daniels School of
Jewish Communal Service of HUC-JIR. An update of the site was made
possible through the assistance of Yael Green, Pamela Saltsman and
Brian Garfield. If you would like to add or update a listing, or
if you are interested in developing such a resource for your community,
please contact jewishbereavement@hotmail.com.
